Everyone is responsible for his own safety while he is working for company or working in home.

Many organization spend millions just for the safety and maintain a good and safe working environment and provide the necessary safety training and PPE (personal protective equipment) to perform the routine jobs.

However we read about the industrial accident in newspapers. These accidents are mostly due to human error and in rare case due to machine failure or others. Before we discuss why the accidents occurred and how we can control them we need to learn about the basic safety and terms used here. 

What is Safety?

Safety mean free of harm or hazard. The work process, environment, material and tools must be under measured control and men has been trained for the particular job and can deal in case of emergency. 

What is Health?

A person physically and mentally fit to perform the particular job. 

What is Environment?

A typical surrounding in which the persons are performing the jobs. 

What is Hazard?

Any thing which has a potential to cause some harm or damage is the Hazard.
